The pattern on these tea caddies represents the fan-shaped waves of the open sea. A popular pattern in Japan, the name “Seigaihi” originates from the the gagaku ancient court dance called Seigaiha, in which the dancers wear costumes with this design. Each caddy has an inner lid to help preserve the tea’s flavour.
