- Metal tin with inner lid, wrapped in traditional Japanese washi paper.
- Dimensions: Height 12,5 cm, diameter 6,5 cm.
The popular pattern on the paper used to make these pretty tea caddies is so named because its overlapping arcs of small dots resemble shark skin. It was used by the Kishū Tokugawa family, to which Shōgun Tokugawa Yoshimune (1684–1751) belonged. Each caddy has an inner lid to help preserve the tea’s flavour.
