Shizuoka is the region where over half of all Japanese tea is grown. When you consider that Japan only exports 1-2% of the tea produced there, and that the Otsuka teas we have in our selection repeatedly win prizes for their quality and taste, we are very lucky to have them in our range. This Sencha from about ten days into the first flush harvest is a smooth, refreshing example of a high quality deep steamed (Fukamushi style) tea that is true to the Japanese tea culture. Fukamushi style teas are said to be ideal for delicate stomachs.
