Description
This has to be one of the best Senchas we have experienced. On opening the packet and smelling the tea we said “wow”. On inspecting the dry leaf tea, we were impressed by the elegant, dark green and very intact leaves and once again, said “wow”. We then paused to consider whether a top quality gyokuro had been put in the packet by mistake. When we told our supplier about how impressed we were with this tea she told us that it fits into the category “tennen gyokuro” which means although the plants have not grown under shade it has all the natural sweetness and intensity of a gyokuro.
The silky smooth first infusion of this tea is full of umami. Mild, sweet, velvety on the tongue and with a pleasant lingering aftertaste, drinking this tea is a real treat. The second infusion still has plenty of umami and flavour and while the third and fourth infusions were weaker it was still pleasant.
Treat yourself of someone you know to this wonderful tea and experience the sheer pleasure and satisfaction that only a great tea can deliver!
