Tea towels first became popular in Britain in 18th century. Typically made of linen, in those days the Lady of the house would use them for delicate jobs that couldn’t be trusted to household servants, including drying much treasured tea sets. This set of two tea towels features two of British artist William Morris’ most popular designs, “Strawberry Thief“ and „Eyebright“.
