One of the teas we look forward to most every year, this 2022 harvest Bi Luo Chun is as great as ever. The intact, curly dark green leaves produce a light vegetal liquor that is aromatic, with a vegetal and grassy aroma. The flavours are light and clean, combing a classic vegetal green tea profile with light floral and fruity notes. This is an excellent green tea to savour on a Sunday or for moments you have time to enjoy the full complexity of 2 – 3 infusions.
Harvested in February 2022, this is one of the best “Chinese” green teas we have tasted from this year’s harvest. Grown near to the town of Sanxia, South of Taipei, the dry leaf is a mixture of dark green wiry leaves covered in an almost fuzzy down. The aroma of the dry leaf alone is enough to get your taste buds going. Lightly vegetal and at the same time fruity, this tea is fresh, mellow and has a sweet aftertaste reminiscent of citrus fruits.
