“Kukicha” means “stalk tea” and indeed the bulk of this tea is tender young stalks. Made during the April first flush period when the leaves and stalks have the most flavour, this is an uncomplicated and easy to prepare tea with a light and refreshing taste. Light in body, sweet in aroma and low in caffeine, Morimoto Kukicha is a great introduction to Japanese tea.
