Description
Rumour has it that King Charles III likes Darjeeling tea, and that he takes it with a splash of milk and a dash of honey. And of course we all know that King Charles has a passion for caring for the environment and all things organic. This we duly reflected in the teas we chose to include in our King Charles Coronation Tea.
And so that we can raise a cup of something appropriate to celebrate the coronation of the good King on May 6th, for this (very) limited edition tea we have blended two second flush Darjeelings, both of which have with nice muscatel flavour and one with a particularly nice honey note. To this sweet, floral and fruity mix we then added a touch of Keemun Mao Feng.
While with a 2-3 minute infusion our King Charles Coronation Tea is quite delicious drunk plain, with a 4-5 minute brewing time our King Charles Coronation Tea is strong enough to take a splash of milk and if you wish, a dash of honey.
Occasions like this are often used to raise money for charities in the UK. More details about the Coronation weekend itself and what people do can be found on the official British Royal Family website. For details of how we will be celebrating at The English Tearoom please keep an eye on the start page of our website.
Tip: This tea goes particularly well with Island Bakery Lemon Melts shortbread.
