One name for Japan, “Akitsushima”, means “The Island of the Dragonfly”. Hardly surprising then, that in Japan, dragonflies are a symbol of happiness, strength, courage and success. As bringers of good fortune, they are often featured as decorative elements in items including textiles, porcelain and of course tea caddies! These pretty tea caddies come in two different colour combinations, red and green, and cream and blue.
