Decaffeinated chai black tea
This decaffeinated version of our own recipe chai black tea is sweet – but not too sweet – spicy – but not too spicy – and mellow – but still full of flavour! Try this tea as a sweet alternative to our decaffeinated Earl Grey and decaffeinated Evening Mary Grey black teas.
Chai masala in India is usually drunk in rough unglazed clay cups, no bigger than your average espresso cup. It is very sweet and intense, and once drunk the cup is discarded, so avoiding the risk that one might ever drink from a cup from which a lower cast had drunk from. The clay from the broken cups is re-used to make new cups. This Chai blend is the nearest we could come to replicating the Chai we have tasted in India – but without all the sugar!
Our decaffeinated Maharaja Chai Black Tea is equally delicious drunk plain or with milk and is also perfect for making iced tea.
