One of the teas we look forward to most every year, our Bi Luo Chun from Sanxia in Taiwan is consistently great. The intact, curly dark green leaves produce a light vegetal liquor that is aromatic, with a vegetal and grassy aroma. The flavours are light and clean, combing  a classic vegetal green tea profile with light floral and fruity notes. This is an excellent green tea to savour on a Sunday or for moments you have time to enjoy the full complexity of 2 – 3 infusions.

Taiwan Sanxia Bi Luo Chun (Spring Snail Shell)

Harvested in February 2026, Bi Luo Chun from Sanxia in Taiwan, also known as Spring Snail Shell, is one of our favourite green teas.

Grown near to the town of Sanxia, South of Taipei, the dry leaf is a mixture of dark green wiry leaves covered in an almost fuzzy down. The aroma of the dry leaf alone is enough to get your taste buds going.  Lightly vegetal and at the same time fruity, this tea is fresh, mellow and has a sweet aftertaste reminiscent of citrus fruits.
