China Emeralds Green Tea, also known as Lu Bao Shi, is a beautiful green tea variety that offers exceptional quality and flavour. Sourced from the beautiful Guizhou province in southwest China, this exquisite tea comes in a variety of qualities and is plucked several times during the spring and early summer. Although we have tasted cheaper batches later in the year that look the same, there is no comparison in taste. Having made this experience, we always ensure that our China Emeralds are from the earliest plucking of the year. To ensure maximum freshness we have the tea vacuum-packed in 250g bags and have it shipped by air rather than by container, which can now take up to a year.
China Emeralds Lu Bao Shi is an organic tea, grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. However, as we do not import it through a certified organic tea wholesaler, we cannot officially label it as organic.
Guizhou is a region within China renowned for its natural beauty and outstanding tea, and it’s no surprise to us that this tea is so highly regarded that the Chinese often keep the best of it for themselves! As well as being organic, China Emeralds Lu Bao Shi is sourced from small farmers who are treated fairly.
China Emeralds Lu Bao Shi tea can easily be brewed three or even four times without losing any of its flavour, making it an excellent choice for those who like to enjoy their tea over several cups throughout the day. As far as we are concerned, this is a tea that ticks all the boxes – it tastes great, it is organic and it comes from individual family farmers who are treated fairly. It can be infused three or even four times without losing any of its flavour, and the first infusion has quite a caffeine kick! We love this tea and aren’t at all surprised that it has won several awards. This is a great tea for a mid-morning or early afternoon pick-me-up and is one of our best selling green teas.
