Organic Chamomile

Description

Here in Germany the smell or even the word chamomile conjures up memories of childhood – but rarely are these good ones. Instead the mere mention of the word transforms one back to the sick-bed, times of feeling poorly, probably with a bad tummy and a parent who believed that the way to get better was a chamomile tea made from a teabag, accompanied by a dry rusk, and possibly even with the suggestion that the rusk could be dipped into the tea. Yuk – no wonder people feel so negatively about chamomile tea!

One of the oldest and most important healing plants (in ancient Egypt chamomile was the flower associated with the Sun God), good quality chamomile tea made from whole chamomile flowers does not deserve this poor reputation. A light and mild infusion that is calming on the soul and gentle on the stomach, this chamomile tea is delicious.
