Description
“Kukicha” means “stalk tea” and indeed the bulk of this tea is tender young stalks. Made during the April first flush period when the leaves and stalks have the most flavour, this organic Morimoto Kukicha is an uncomplicated and easy to prepare tea with a light and refreshing taste. Light in body, sweet in aroma and low in caffeine, Morimoto Kukicha is a great introduction to Japanese tea.
Although it is from the first flush harvest, compared to the Morimoto other “stalk tea” Shiraore, which only consists of small stalks and extremely delicate leaves and buds, the stalks and leaves used to make the organic Morimoto kukicha are somewhat larger. Great for everyday drinking and for newcomers to green tea, we recommend this tea because it is delicious and uncomplicated to prepare.
