Our favourite, and indeed the most famous white tea is Silver Needle White Tea (Bai Hao Yin Zhen).
This organically produced tea takes its Chinese name from the tiny silvery-white hairs that cover the bud as it develops at the top of each tea shoot. Elegant in appearance and deliciously mouth filling, silver needle has a high polyphenol content. Our customers tell us that as well as being delicious and a wonderfully gentle way to start the day, Silver Needle White Tea really does the job in helping them concentrate when they are studying for exams or have to work late into the evening.
A naturally scented alternative to this tea is Jasmine Silver Needle – basically the same tea that has been exposed to the scent of jasmine blossoms.
