Introducing two more exceptional new Darjeeling first flush teas
The new 2026 Darjeeling First Flush season has arrived, and we are delighted to present three exceptional teas we have imported directly from Darjeeling. Two of them — Giddapahar Clonal Delight and Jungpana Diamond — come from two of the highest tea gardens in Darjeeling, where cool mountain air and slow growth create extraordinary aromatic complexity. If you have already enjoyed the Giddapahar, now would be the perfect time to discover the other two remarkable arrivals…

A bit more about us
When we opened our teashop in 2011 one of our aims was to become THE place to go for tea in Stuttgart. We didn’t know if we’d achieve it, especially as we decided to do things completely different to all the other teashops we’d seen in Germany. For one thing we didn’t offer heavily flavoured teas. For another, we chose to offer teas in a quality that demand much higher prices than most people are used to. And on top of that, we set up our shop in a quirky sub-basement of a building in a quiet residential area, where we would be unlikely to attract customers by chance.
Almost twelve years later here we are! And thanks to our online shop our success has extended far beyond The English Tearoom teashop in Stuttgart. Having survived the challenges of the pandemic and determined to overcome the economic difficulties left in its wake, we feel enormously lucky to have an occupation which feels more like a lifestyle than a job. Our relationships with our customers – whether online or in person – have roots. We know their tastes and their needs, we adapt our recommendations depending on the situation and help out with special requirements such as gifts, wherever we can.
The same goes for our relationships with our producers. Either we have met them in person or got to know them online. What works for our customers works for us too – thankfully even though during the pandemic when we were not able to travel to tea producing countries ourselves to choose and buy our teas, our contacts there knew us well enough to keep us well supplied.
Our customers tell us that once they have experienced the quality of our tea it is impossible to be satisfied with tea from elsewhere. This is something we can relate to, after all, we put a lot of energy, time and effort into sourcing the very best teas we can.
